In hockey skills training, we follow the lead of Hockey Canada as we are instructors in the Hockey Canada Skills Academy and Hockey Canada Licensed Skills Development Program. As such, we keep up to date in the latest skills development strategies and techniques promoted by Hockey Canada and its branches.
The approach is individualized and based on specific needs, for the most part. However, we also do team skills training on practice ice.
Trained in Sprints and Hurdles with the Athletics Ontario and ALTIS organizations, we are equipped to expend your strength & conditioning training with skills specific to the athletics field of performance.
Athletics skill sets also apply to a variety of other sports and can be integrated, as required, to your training.
Summer Skills Sessions
We will be providing summer hockey skills sessions to help our youth stay active after a very tough year.
This summer, we will be running skills sessions following the Hockey Canada Licensed Skills Development model, be it a strictly skills-focused, fun approach to enable players to return to the sport they love progressively. We will not be playing scrimmages; instead we adhere to the Hockey Canada model of skills applied small area games (game situation applications of the skills learned that day) to keep the element of fun an integral part of the learning process while not deviating from our goal to build our players back up in preparation for return to play in the fall.
